Indonesian VTuber Agency "YumeLive" Announces It Will Cease Operations
YumeLive has announced that it will close its operations starting December 31, 2024.
After it closes, everything related to Stars, such as characters, YouTube accounts, and social media of each VTuber, will operate independently. They will have separate characters and social media.
YumeLive, formerly known as Yume Reality, is a VTuber agency that started operating on July 19, 2020. As of February 1, 2023, they had over 460,720 subscribers on YouTube. Their slogan is “Bringing a lot of happiness” (previously “Where dreams come true” until January 8, 2023). They use the term Stars to refer to the VTubers under their umbrella and Dreamers to refer to all viewers of their Streamers.
In response to the announcement of this operational closure, YumeLive also stated that some merchandise from Stars will remain available and can be purchased until stocks run out. After that, each Star (or former Star) can independently recreate the merchandise that has run out. They also clarified the misunderstanding that arose from Nekoyama Sena's statement that YumeLive would turn into a group or community. They emphasized that this is not true and also stressed that the decision to close is not due to Nekoyama Sena. According to them, all decisions made by Sena are purely personal decisions without coercion from anyone.
In addition, YumeLive also expressed their deepest gratitude to the fans for their support over the years. They hope that fans will continue to support whatever choices and steps the Stars take in the future. Currently, YumeLive still has at least 7 Stars under their umbrella: Nekoyama Sena, Nemutaka Yuta, Kawaki Nana, Mishika Aya, Nishiki Mari, Chou Senka, and Shibana Asuka.
