Netflix announced the release schedule for the anime Baki-Dou: the series will begin streaming exclusively on February 26, 2026.
Announcement also confirms the presence of a surprising new threat to underground fighters—the legendary Japanese swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi, who has been revived in the modern era.
After the climax of the father-son battle between Biscuit Oliva and Baki, the story places Baki in a relatively calm and boring daily routine. That calm does not last long; Musashi’s revival triggers a completely different conflict: a cross-flow martial arts battle that transcends space and time.
In this anime version, Miyamoto Musashi will be voiced by veteran voice actor Naoya Uchida. With Musashi joining the modern arena, the series promises a clash of traditional sword fighting techniques against the brutal violence of arena fighters—a duel never seen before in the franchise.
