Capcom has announced Monster Hunter Outlanders for mobile, which is exciting and free to play!

With modern smartphones now having performance that far surpasses the handheld gaming devices that used to be the "home" of Monster Hunter, Capcom can actually explore similar concepts, rather than being stuck in the AR concept like in Monster Hunter Now. By collaborating with Tencent, that dream has finally come true for mobile gamers!

Capcom and TiMi Studio Group have officially announced and introduced Monster Hunter Outlanders – a Monster Hunter experience specifically designed for mobile. Unlike Monster Hunter Now, which uses AR features as a gimmick, Outlanders will provide the familiar Monster Hunter experience you know. You will be invited to explore a vast and interconnected open world that serves as an "arena" for hunting monsters, complete with a crafting system and iconic weapons.

Although the monetization method, which is likely to be gacha-based, is not yet clear, Monster Hunter Outlanders will also feature several interesting systems. One of the most notable is the presence of "unique" characters that come with specific weapons that you can switch and control at any time. Additionally, there will be Palicos to accompany your actions. Monster Hunter Outlanders can also be played in solo or multiplayer mode for up to four players.

Capcom and TiMi have not yet set a specific release date for Monster Hunter Outlanders, which will be available on Android and iOS devices. However, they have promised that there will be several playtest sessions before the final version is released. It looks like an exciting project for you, right?
