Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 Releases in 2025!
Netflix has released the latest announcement trailer for Season 2 of Castlevania: Nocturne, confirming that the series will return in January 2025.
This announcement was made during Geeked Week, a week-long event hosted by Netflix. The second season will follow Richter Belmont and his group of vampire hunters, who are now joined by Alucard. This group prepares to face the unstoppable Vampire Messiah, Erzsebet Báthory, who seeks the full power of the goddess Sekhmet to plunge the world into endless darkness and terror.
The first season of Castlevania Nocturne was released on September 28, 2023, with a total of eight episodes. This show is set 300 years after the previous Castlevania series, which ran for four seasons from 2017 to 2021. The series is produced by Frederator Studios, with Powerhouse Animation Studios as the animation production company.
The animated series Castlevania is inspired by Konami's video game series, starting with the action platformer game Castlevania in 1986. The main character of Nocturne, Richter Belmont, was introduced in Castlevania in 1993: Rondo of Blood.
Synopsis of Castlevania: Nocturne
France, 1792 - the height of the French Revolution. In a remote part of western France, the counter-revolutionary aristocracy has forged an alliance with a terrifying Vampire Messiah, who promises to 'devour the sun' and unleash hordes of vampires and creatures of the night to destroy the revolution and enslave mankind. Annette, a witch from the Caribbean, seeks out Richter Belmont, the last descendant of a long-known family of vampire hunters, to lead the resistance.
