Dead by Daylight: Sinister Grace Brings Thai Horror

Behaviour Interactive released the new chapter Sinister Grace for Dead by Daylight, introducing a music-themed duo of characters inspired by nightmares from Thai folklore: a terrifying new Killer, The Krasue, and an energetic Survivor, Vee Boonyasak. This chapter adds a Southeast Asian horror vibe while enriching the game’s lore with the background of the performers.

Premise & Background

Sinister Grace draws inspiration from the Thai legend of a frightening nocturnal creature. At the heart of this chapter is the story of Burong Sukapat — once a talented opera singer who made a dark pact to gain an extraordinary voice. The pact transformed her body into something terrifying: a detached head and organs, an exposed neck, and a habit of preying on corpses at night. From this transformation was born The Krasue, a new Killer who spreads curses through her voice.

On the other side is Vee Boonyasak, the charismatic punk drummer from a fictional band called Axekick. Vee accidentally discovers a recording of Burong’s voice—a recording that drags her into the Fog—binding her fate with that of the opera entity. They are positioned as two sides of the same phenomenon: performers meeting a supernatural destiny.

Characters & Mechanics (Brief)

The Krasue — A skinless creature-themed Killer with a visual design highlighting the remnants of Burong’s identity as an opera singer. In the lore, she uses vocals and curses to incapacitate or hunt victims, blending old stage aesthetics with body horror.

Vee Boonyasak — A performer-oriented Survivor: stylish, confident, and bringing musical elements into her personality and appearance. Vee represents the human side of the story — an artist fascinated by forbidden voices who ultimately becomes trapped in the conflict between stage and horror.
