Details of Genshin Impact UGC Mode: Flexible Editor, Solo & Co-Op Mode, and Social Space
After months of development, miHoYo has finally shared an early glimpse of the latest major feature in Genshin Impact: UGC Mode (User Generated Content).
This mode will become a creative platform that allows players to design, create, and play stages made by themselves or other players, bringing the freedom of imagination in Teyvat to a whole new level.
From Community Inspiration to Official Creative System
Over the past five years, the Genshin Impact community has showcased incredible creativity, ranging from unique puzzles in the Engineer Intelligence event, beautiful house designs in the Serenitea Pot, to various fan art and fan-made content. All of this inspired the development team to create an official system that gives players broader creative control.
The result is UGC Mode, a super flexible in-game editor, designed to enable Travelers to create a variety of gameplay experiences, such as:
- Simulations
- Adventure stages
- Party games
- Survival challenges
And many other concepts
Not only that, miHoYo plans to gradually open access to Genshin Impact assets, so creators can incorporate official game elements into their works.
Play Alone or With Friends
UGC Mode offers two playstyle options:
Solo Mode – Focus on personal creation without distractions, ideal for building and experimenting.
Co-Op Mode – Collaborate with other players to create content together, while creating exciting moments that the community can enjoy.
Besides the editor, this mode also includes a social space in the form of a multiplayer lobby, where Travelers can chat, share experiences, or showcase their creations before starting the game.
Gradual Development and Player Testing
Due to its high flexibility, UGC Mode will continue to be developed and refined gradually. The development team will invite players to participate in testing phases, so this feature can evolve according to community feedback.
Release Before Year-End
As a teaser, miHoYo aims to launch UGC Mode before the end of this year, accompanied by long-term updates that will expand its capabilities. With this feature, Genshin Impact is not just a game, but also a platform for ideas, creativity, and collaboration among Travelers worldwide.
