For the first method, users must allow Discord to access their face via the camera and use it as a verification method. The second method involves sending a scan of their ID card. The process is said to take only a few minutes.

Of course, this raises concerns because it involves personal information that should not be shared carelessly. Fortunately, Discord assures that the data submitted will only be used during the verification process. They also state that neither they nor other vendors will store that data.
