Roblox Documentary Film About Child Safety and Online Predators Is Being Planned
Chris Hansen, the famous host of the program To Catch a Predator, is reportedly planning a documentary film highlighting Roblox's handling of child safety issues.

Roblox, a popular gaming platform whose majority of users are children and teenagers, has long been under scrutiny for being vulnerable to exploitation by online predators.
Roblox is known as one of the largest gaming platforms in the world, with millions of active players daily. However, behind its popularity, the platform often becomes the focus of community and child protection activists.
A YouTuber named Schlep is known for his content exposing predators on Roblox. His videos have been linked to at least six arrests of offenders, but ironically, Roblox has banned his account and activities. This move sparked outrage in the community, which then created a petition demanding the resignation of Roblox Corporation’s CEO, David Baszucki.
This controversy is believed to have caught the attention of Chris Hansen, who reportedly contacted Schlep to discuss the potential creation of a documentary film related to the issue of child predators on Roblox.
Many parents are unaware of the risks present on Roblox or do not know their children’s activities within the game. With the combination of the platform’s popularity, minimal moderation, and controversial planned features, the issue of child safety on Roblox seems likely to remain a public concern, especially if Chris Hansen’s documentary film actually comes to fruition.
