FromSoftware Announces The Duskbloods, Exclusive for Nintendo Switch 2!
Not many of us expected a new game announcement from FromSoftware at Nintendo Direct, but that’s exactly what happened! At the event, they announced their next big title, The Duskbloods.

A truly new RPG from the studio that has a vibe similar to Bloodborne. Interestingly, The Duskbloods will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 and is planned for release in 2026.
The first trailer for The Duskbloods is also quite intriguing, giving us a clear idea of the game map and some gameplay mechanics. For example, we can see that the jump mechanics from Elden Ring will also be present here, along with a broader open-world level design and horseback riding. We even see a character literally sucking the souls of enemies, which might indicate the presence of a power absorption mechanic.

Furthermore, the information we have is still limited, but there are some cool boss fights showcased. With Elden Ring: Nightreign coming soon, we might expect The Duskbloods to be released in late 2026, although the trailer suggests that the game is already quite ready with its various features.

It's definitely exciting that this game is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2, as this marks the first time in over a decade that FromSoftware has worked on an exclusive title for a console. I don’t need to remind you that Bloodborne was the previous one, released on PlayStation 4 in 2015. With what can be called a spiritual successor to Bloodborne that is exclusive to Switch, we have to wonder if the relationship between FromSoftware and Sony is nearing its end.
