New MiHoYo Game! “Honkai: Nexus Anima” Nexus Bond Test, Specifications and Gameplay
This game is a creature-collection auto-chess gacha set in the world of Honkai: Star Rail and focuses on creatures called Anima.
HoYoverse announced recruitment for the first closed beta test named “Nexus Bond Test”. Registration opened on August 29 and runs until September 12 (UTC+8 time). Players who want to participate must create a HoYoverse account and fill out the registration questionnaire on the official site of the game.
Although the exact date of the CBT has not been announced, HoYoverse stated that further information will be shared later. Interestingly, participants are allowed to share gameplay recordings from the beta test without restrictions.
Nexus Bond Test will be available exclusively for PC and iOS. Recommended specifications for PC include an 11th generation Intel i5 processor, a GPU equivalent to RTX 2060, and at least 16 GB of RAM. For iOS, HoYoverse mentioned at least an iPhone 12 Pro to ensure a smooth experience. The game also supports cross-platform play, so players can access the same account on both devices although account sharing between players is prohibited.
Along with the CBT announcement, HoYoverse released a gameplay trailer about four minutes long. The trailer showcases elements of open-world exploration, character customization, various mini-games, and the collection of Anima which appears to be the core experience. Battle scenes demonstrate a system reminiscent of auto-battlers (like Teamfight Tactics): unit arrangement, formation strategy, and automated combat.
Nexus Bond Test is just the first step, HoYoverse confirmed there will be more testing opportunities in the future.
