Genshin Impact Announces Lauma: New Dendro Character for Version 6.0
HoYoverse has officially revealed the new character Lauma, a 5-star Dendro-element Catalyst user who will debut in Genshin Impact Version 6.0.

With the end of the Natlan era in Version 5.8, the focus has now shifted to new regions and stories, alongside the start of beta testing phases and the launch of official teasers for the upcoming update.
Character Profile: Lauma
- Name: Lauma
- Rarity: ★★★★★
- Element: Dendro
- Weapon: Catalyst
- Gender: Female
- Constellation: Cerva Nivea
Lauma is not only the tallest female character in the game so far, but she also brings a new mechanic called Lunar-Bloom, a unique reaction different from the normal Bloom. Lunar-Bloom can only be activated through Lauma’s Elemental Skill, and it works by collecting stacks based on the number of Blooms triggered by the team. The higher the stacks, the greater the damage produced by her skill.
Story Background
In her lore, Lauma is the Frostmoon Scion and the daughter of Hyperborea, an ancient civilization that has collapsed and lies between Nod-Krai and Snezhnaya. She leads a faction opposing the Fatui, even organizing a rebellion against the Tsaritsa. Her connection with the Moon Goddess makes her a key character in the Song of the Welkin Moon story arc.
Release Date and Banner
Although initially predicted to appear in the second half of the patch, Lauma is confirmed to debut in the first half of Version 6.0, most likely alongside another new character, Aino. If there are no schedule changes, Lauma can be obtained through the Event Banner starting September 10, 2025, and will be available until the end of the month.
