Google Pixel 10 Series Officially Launched, Featuring Gemini AI Intelligence and Latest Foldable Model
Google once again draws attention by launching its latest smartphone line, the Pixel 10 Series, at the Made by Google event in New York.
This series marks a major step for the company in combining artificial intelligence (AI) with hardware, while also introducing the latest generation foldable design ready to compete in the premium market.
Four Pixel 10 Models
In this series, Google presents four main variants: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
- Pixel 10 is priced starting at $799 with significant upgrades, including three rear cameras now equipped with a 5x telephoto lens. This 6.3-inch phone is powered by the Tensor G5 processor, 12GB RAM, and storage up to 256GB.
- Pixel 10 Pro comes with a starting price of $999, featuring larger RAM (16GB) and storage up to 512GB, as well as a higher-quality 6.3-inch display.
- Pixel 10 Pro XL, priced from $1,199, offers a larger 6.8-inch screen and a longer-lasting battery.
- Pixel 10 Pro Fold is highlighted with the latest foldable design. This phone has a thinner 6.4-inch front screen thanks to small bezels, and an 8-inch main display when unfolded. The price starts at $1,799, slightly cheaper compared to its main competitor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 priced at $1,999.
Google claims that the new hinge on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is sturdier, dust and water resistant, and can withstand more than 10 years of folding cycles.
Gemini AI and Smart Features
As many predicted, AI is the focal point of the Pixel 10. The entire phone lineup comes with Gemini AI integration, offering smart features such as:
- Magic Cue: capable of understanding the context of conversations in SMS or phone call apps, then instantly displaying relevant information. For example, when a friend asks about a dinner reservation schedule, Magic Cue can directly pull data from Gmail to suggest a response.
- Gemini Live: enables real-time interaction with what the phone’s camera “sees,” built from Google’s image recognition project, Project Astra.
- Camera Coach: a new camera assistant that offers advice on angles, lighting, and even combines multiple photos so everyone looks their best in one shot.
Google emphasizes that personal data remains secure because Magic Cue runs locally on the device, not in the cloud, and other apps cannot access data without user permission.
Additionally, the Pixel 10 Pro comes with a bonus one-year subscription to the AI Pro package (valued at $19/month), offering additional Gemini features, exclusive access to AI products such as NotebookLM and Voo 3, as well as extra storage.
Pixel Watch 4 Also Introduced
Besides smartphones, Google also introduced the Pixel Watch 4. This smartwatch comes in 41mm and 45mm sizes, with a wider dome-shaped display, 25% better battery life, and prices starting at $349. Interestingly, the LTE version now supports emergency satellite communication, which can be very helpful when users are in remote locations.
The Google Pixel 10 Series is not just a hardware update, but a major step in bringing AI as the core of the user experience.
