PS5 Pro prices are now cheaper at retail stores in the UK!
Sony PlayStation has just released the latest variant of their PS5 console, the PS5 Pro, which was released on November 7, 2024.
But recently, there has been news that several retail stores in the UK have lowered the price of the PS5 Pro. Is that true?
It seems that the price of the PS5 Pro has dropped at several retail stores in the UK!
According to information from the EE Store website in the UK, there are several retail stores selling the PS5 Pro console below the normal price. One seller is offering the PS5 Pro for £659, which is about Rp 13.2 million.
Meanwhile, the official price of the PlayStation 5 Pro console is £699.99 or around Rp 14.2 million. This raises a big question, why are there sellers offering it below the official price?
However, after checking their website, it seems that the price of the console has dropped because of a Black Friday Sale promotion. You can see one of the proofs below.
If we compare it to when the PS5 was first released in 2020, most of those consoles were sold at the normal price. Some were even sold well above the official price, usually by scalpers.
Additionally, at that time there was the COVID pandemic which caused the demand for the PS5 console to skyrocket. Many scalpers took advantage of this situation, and it lasted quite a while. Sony was also overwhelmed in providing PS5 stock, so many gamers were forced to buy from scalpers at exorbitant prices.
With the release of the new PlayStation console, of course, this raises a lot of speculation among gamers. Is the interest in the PS5 Pro still low, causing retail sellers in the UK to lower the selling price? Right now, we can't know for sure, as this console has just been released and there is no official information from Sony about its sales results.
That’s information about the PS5 Pro price, which appears to have dropped at several retail stores in the UK. What do you think about the price drop for this new variant of the PS5 console? Is this a great opportunity for gamers who want to buy, or is there another reason behind this price drop?
