ISSEY MIYAKE and Apple present the iPhone Pocket — a 3D knit accessory designed to be neatly worn and fit all iPhone models. Inspired by the philosophy of “a piece of fabric”, the iPhone Pocket is not just a sleeve: it wraps the device snugly, provides space for everyday small items, and can be worn in several ways according to the owner’s style.
Design & Materials
iPhone Pocket is made using a single 3D knit construction that borrows the iconic pleating aesthetics of ISSEY MIYAKE. The open ribbed textured structure gives a distinctive pleated look while being elastic — when stretched, the material slightly reveals the contents inside and allows users to peek at the screen without removing the device. The basic concept is simple: a functional extra pocket that also has a strong form language.
How to Wear
This accessory is flexible — it can be held, attached to a bag, or worn on the body via a strap. The design is available in two strap variants: a short strap for handheld or close hook use, and a long strap for crossbody or hanging wear. This option gives users the freedom to determine how they want to “wear” their iPhone.
Colors, Variants & Pricing
The iPhone Pocket color palette is designed to easily match various iPhone models and colors. The short strap variant comes in eight cheerful colors — including lemon, mandarin, purple, and sapphire — while the long strap is available in three colors: sapphire, cinnamon, and black. For the US market, the announced retail price is $149.95 for the short strap version and $229.95 for the long strap version.

The development of the iPhone Pocket was done collaboratively between ISSEY MIYAKE (through MIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO) and Apple Design Studio. This product is made in Japan and reinterprets the practical function of ISSEY MIYAKE’s pleated clothing into everyday accessories for digital devices.

iPhone Pocket is a special edition that will be sold starting Friday, November 14 at select Apple Stores and on apple.com for markets: France, Greater China, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the UK, and the United States.
