Takako Uro is one of the players participating in the Culling Game, with the Sendai Colony as her base of operations. She is a sorcerer who has reincarnated from the past and is one of the four main contenders in the fierce four-way standoff in the Sendai Colony. She has accumulated a total of 70 points.
Appearance and Personality
Appearance Uro is a tall woman with inverted eyes and a very unconventional appearance. She seems not to wear clothing, only adorned with accessories like piercings, a choker necklace, and bracelets. The reason behind her appearance has not been revealed. However, due to the effect of her curse technique, her body appears transparent in certain areas, where parts like her chest and lower body are visually obscured by the background.
Personality She has a very high self-esteem. Among the four great fighters in the Sendai Colony, she stands out as the only participant who does not endanger civilians, which is reflected in her lower point total compared to others. Uro carries regrets from her previous life and strives to become "someone meaningful" in her second life, choosing to live solely for herself.
Background
In her previous life, Uro was a sorcerer during the Heian era. She served as the captain of a killing unit known as the Sun Moon Star Squad, which operated directly under the Fujiwara clan—a powerful noble family in the Heian era that descended from Fujiwara no Kamatari.
Abilities
Takako Uro is a user of inherent techniques that manipulate space. Her combat abilities are considered on par with or even surpass those of Yuta Okkotsu and Ryu Ishigori, indicating that she has power equivalent to a Grade 1 or even Special Grade sorcerer.
Curse Techniques
- Space Manipulation Through Surface Introduction Uro perceives space as a flat surface akin to a photo, which she can grasp and manipulate like fabric. By pulling or bending this surface, she can freely control space. This technique allows for various applications, including flight, attack, defense, counterattack, evasion, and sneaking through transparency.
- Thin Ice Breaker (JP: 宇守羅彈, Usurabi) A technique that shatters the surface of space along with the target trapped within it. This attack is powerful enough to injure Yuta Okkotsu and send him flying.
- Domain Expansion Uro activates her Domain Expansion by forming a hand seal with crossed hands. She attempted to use it in a three-way battle against Yuta Okkotsu and Ryu Ishigori. However, the technique failed to fully manifest due to interference from Kurourushi's descendant, leaving the complete details unknown.
Role in the Story
Sendai Colony During the standoff in the Sendai Colony, Uro launched a surprise attack on Yuta Okkotsu, who had disrupted the balance of the area after defeating Dhruv Lakdawalla and Kurourushi. However, she gradually became irritated during their conversation, which began with the revelation of each other's techniques.
As the conversation continued, Yuta questioned Uro's ideology in her second life, stating that he could not understand her way of thinking and asked why she would go so far just for herself. These words, combined with her growing unease, made Uro see the lineage of the Fujiwara clan in Yuta, triggering great anger.
At that moment, Ryu Ishigori entered the battlefield, resulting in a fierce three-way clash. The fight peaked as all participants unleashed their strongest techniques. However, Uro ultimately lost after being caught off guard following an attempt at Domain Expansion and sustained severe injuries. After her defeat, she surrendered her points to Yuta.
After the battle in Shinjuku ended, several Culling Game players were shown returning to their daily lives. However, Uro did not appear, and as she has not been confirmed to be eliminated by Kenjaku or Sukuna, her current status remains unknown.
Trivia
- The Fuji clan mentioned in the story refers to the Fujiwara clan. Historically, they were political rivals of Sugawara no Michizane, who is regarded as an ancestor of Yuta Okkotsu. Although Yuta initially believed he was a descendant of Sugawara based on Gojo Satoru's statement in Volume 0, he seems to begin to question Gojo's claim after Uro insists that she is connected to the Fujiwara lineage.
- Since Uro lived during the Heian period, she knew Ryomen Sukuna during her lifetime. She described Sukuna as having an extraordinarily large ego or "self-awareness."
