Premise & brief gameplay
Silent Hill f is a new standalone title from the Silent Hill franchise, created by Keiichiro Toyama. The story focuses on Hinako, a student living in the remote town of Ebisugaoka in Japan. Players will navigate the town’s winding streets, solve puzzles, and survive against frightening monsters while uncovering Hinako’s emotional conflicts and past secrets.
“When the town grows silent and the fog thickens, Hinako must navigate the winding streets of Ebisugaoka, solve complex puzzles, and face terrifying monsters to survive.”
The game is directed by Al Yang (previously known for Resident Evil: Resistance). Development is handled by NeoBards Entertainment with publishing support from Konami.
Franchise legacy
The Silent Hill franchise was first launched in 1999 and has since grown into a series of iconic video games and film adaptations. Silent Hill f continues the tradition of psychological horror and gloomy atmosphere that characterize the series, while introducing new protagonists and settings.
The launch trailer reinforces that Silent Hill f carries a combination of psychological horror elements, puzzles, and survival combat expected by franchise fans. Its release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC opens broad access for players who want to explore the fog of Ebisugaoka and uncover the darkness behind Hinako Shimizu’s story.
