French Creator Breaks Into Shōnen Jump+ Through One-Shot Little Monster
The one-shot Little Monster, created by French artist NEO, has officially been published on the Shonen Jump+ manga platform on the 21st. This achievement marks a significant moment as it is the first time a work by a French creator has appeared on the platform.
Additionally, Little Monster has made history as the second work from the MANGA Plus Creators by SHUEISHA (MPC) platform to be featured in Shonen Jump+. A similar achievement was previously made by NO\NAME, which was published on January 29, 2023.
MPC is a manga submission and publishing platform for international creators, supporting English and Spanish. Launched in August 2022, it is directly managed by the editorial department of Shonen Jump+. It can be considered the international version of the Japanese service, Jump Rookie!, which provides a space for new creators to present their works to a global audience.
From its launch until April 2026, over 28,000 titles or approximately 74,000 chapters have been submitted to MPC. This figure highlights the immense interest from creators worldwide to produce works through the official channel provided by Shueisha.
Little Monster was submitted to MPC in English in December 2025. It went on to win the highest honor, the Gold Prize, in the Monthly Awards, a monthly recognition for the best works submitted to the platform. Along with this prestigious accolade, the award also comes with a cash prize of 1 million yen and the opportunity to be published in the Japanese version of Shonen Jump+ and MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA for English and Spanish readers.

In terms of story, Little Monster follows Alice, a girl who works daily at a fast-food restaurant with a simple goal: to share a smile with everyone she meets. However, her life changes when her cheerfulness catches the attention of a TV station. She is then offered a spot on a game show, which leads to a series of unexpected events.
