Hololive's Metaverse Service "HOLOEARTH" to Close on June 28
Hololive's metaverse platform, HoloEarth, has officially announced that it will cease its services on June 28 at 21:00. This decision was communicated through an official announcement after the management thoroughly considered the future sustainability of the service.
In their statement, HoloEarth's management extended their apologies to the users, creators, and all parties who have supported the service thus far. They emphasized that the decision to close was not made abruptly but after a deep evaluation regarding the future operational direction.
Message from HoloEarth's Project Manager
I am Fukuda (IKKO), Project Manager of HoloEarth.
With a heavy heart, I announce the closure of HoloEarth's services.
As the person in charge of this project, I sincerely apologize for not being able to meet the expectations of all of you who have supported us thus far.
With the theme of "Another World," HoloEarth has strived to be a platform where talents, creators, and users can connect and create new experiences that transcend the boundaries of virtual dimensions.
Throughout this journey, the time you have spent with us, as well as every encounter and memory created here, are invaluable treasures that will never be forgotten by those of us involved in this project.
Furthermore, we believe that the technology and the spirit of facing challenges honed through HoloEarth will be carried forward into Hololive Production's next steps, to bring forth new experiences in the future.
I am aware that there are still many shortcomings on our part, which may have caused you inconvenience or difficulties.
Nonetheless, I am deeply grateful to all of you who have visited the world of HoloEarth, enjoyed it, and continued to support us.
Although the service will close in its current form, there is no greater happiness for me than knowing that the experiences and bonds formed in HoloEarth can continue to remain in your hearts, as memories you can recall from time to time.

Leading up to the closure, several features of HoloEarth will be gradually discontinued. Paid HoloCoin sales will cease starting May 14. After that, on June 3 at 23:59, sales of official paid items and creator items will also be discontinued. On the same date, new registrations, review submissions, and editing features in the HoloEarth Marketplace will also be suspended.
However, official free items will still be available until the service is completely closed on June 28 at 21:00. Thus, users still have limited time to access free content before the platform goes fully offline.
Regarding remaining funds, HoloEarth has also prepared a refund process for unused paid HoloCoin and Creator Points. Refund applications are scheduled to open from June 29 at 12:00 until September 30 at 12:00. Detailed procedures for application will be announced separately after the service closes.
Additionally, Payment Statements issued for creators using the HoloEarth Marketplace can still be downloaded until May 31, 2027 at 12:00.
