Mission: Yozakura Family Season 2 is officially set to premiere in 2026. This announcement was made at the Jump Festa '25 event held on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
The first season of this anime started airing in Japan on April 7, 2024, and immediately attracted the attention of anime fans with simultaneous broadcasts on global platforms such as Disney+.
The anime is adapted from a manga by Hitsuji Gondaira published in Weekly Shonen Jump since August 2019. The story follows Taiyo Asano, a super shy high school student who can only trust his childhood friend, Mutsumi Yozakura. However, Taiyo's life changes completely when he discovers that Mutsumi is the daughter of a powerful spy family.
After a series of unexpected events, Taiyo eventually marries Mutsumi and plunges into the world of espionage as part of the unique Yozakura family. Together, they face various challenges and find hope in this action-packed family spy comedy.
The manga has sold over 3 million copies, and the first season of the anime aired from April to October.
