Nintendo Museum Celebrates 40 Years of Super Mario Bros. with Special Tickets & Light Exhibition

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros., the Nintendo Museum presents two main promotions: limited edition birthday-themed play ticket designs, and a special light exhibition. Both programs have specific terms and dates — and may change without prior notice.

Special Play Ticket Design

Starting Saturday, September 13, Nintendo Museum play tickets will feature a limited edition design themed around the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. — this design will be available for approximately one year. During the promotion period, visitors can choose one of two ticket design options:

• 40th Anniversary of Super Mario Bros. (default design)
• Your Mii (personalized design)

Important notes:

• By default, all tickets will use the 40th anniversary design.
• If you previously selected the Mii design but wish to switch to the anniversary design, visit the Nintendo Museum ticket booking site and update your ticket settings before your visit.
• If any group members (other than the booker) want to use their own Mii design, tickets must first be allocated to their names — check the Nintendo Museum ticket booking guide for full steps.
• The end date for the special Mario design availability will be announced later.

Limited-Time Light Exhibition

The Nintendo Museum will illuminate special lighting throughout the facility during the period Wednesday, December 3, 2025 — Monday, April 27, 2026. Key details:

• Special lighting will be active from 4:00 PM until closing time every day during this period — creating an immersive evening atmosphere.
• At the Warp Pipe photo spot, a themed installation featuring the Super Mario Bros. 40th anniversary logo will be installed, available for visitors to take photos all day.
• This light exhibition can only be enjoyed by visitors with valid tickets — be sure to bring your ticket.
