Nintendo Revives Virtual Boy on Switch Online
Nintendo revives Virtual Boy through the Nintendo Classics collection on Switch Online and Switch 2. Play 14 classic games, including Mario Tennis and Tetris, starting February 17, 2026.

Nintendo revives one of its most unique devices: Virtual Boy. The game collection from that old VR headset will be included in the retro catalog of Nintendo Switch Online, and can be played on both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
For an experience resembling the original, Nintendo has prepared a special headset accessory designed similarly to the original Virtual Boy device, but made so you can insert the Switch tablet (or Switch 2) into it as the screen. This way, classic Virtual Boy games can be displayed and enjoyed on modern devices.
A total of 14 titles will be offered through this service, with big names like Mario Tennis and Tetris included. Nintendo stated that these games will start to be available from February 17, but the launch of the 14 games will be done gradually, meaning not all titles will be released simultaneously on the opening date.
