Path of Exile 2 Early Access Reaches One Million Players!
The popularity of Path of Exile 2 has surprised not only the gaming industry but also the development team itself. The game successfully attracted a million players who played together since early access began on December 6, 2024.
In a video uploaded to its official X tweet, Jonathan Rogers, Co-founder of Grinding Gear Games, expressed his gratitude to gamers for the trust given. He also shared his concerns as the number of players coming in is far greater than anticipated by the development team.
It is estimated that there will be more than a million players entering the game simultaneously, both from PC and consoles. Jonathan also predicts that the game's servers will be overwhelmed by the surge in login requests, so players may have to queue before they can play.
In the video, the Path of Exile 2 development team also mentioned that they are working to increase the number of servers so that queues can be reduced and gamers can quickly experience the excitement of this ARPG game.
