PS5 Pro sales have surpassed PS4 Pro at its launch in Japan!
PlayStation 5 is the gaming console from Sony that has been much talked about lately, especially after the release of its new variant, the PlayStation 5 Pro or PS5 Pro.
Released on November 7, the new variant of the PS5 console offers several new features that enhance the previous version. Interestingly, the arrival of the PlayStation 5 Pro is eagerly awaited by many gamers. We can see this enthusiasm reflected in the positive sales figures for this console.
PS5 Pro sales have surpassed PS4 Pro in its first week of release in Japan!
According to data from Gematsu, the sales of the PS5 Pro have surpassed those of the PS4 Pro at its launch in Japan. The PlayStation 5 Pro has sold up to 78,086 units, more than the 65,194 units sold by the PS4 Pro in its first week of release.
Interestingly, the PS5 Pro itself is priced $300 higher than the PS4 Pro. The PS5 Pro is sold for $700, while the PS4 Pro was priced at $400 at launch. This is certainly surprising, as a more expensive console can perform better at its initial release.
Can the PS5 Pro surpass the total sales of the PS4 Pro?
Previously, according to Sony's financial report, the PS4 Pro had sold 14.3 million units since its launch. Therefore, it is still quite possible for the PlayStation 5 Pro to surpass or at least match the sales record of the PS4 Pro in the future.
Moreover, with the new features offered by the PlayStation 5 Pro that are very attractive to many gamers, such as higher resolutions and support for 60 FPS in several games, this becomes one of the main attractions of the PS5 Pro.
