Resident Evil Requiem Sales Reach 6 Million Copies in a Short Time
Resident Evil Requiem continues to show very strong performance in the market. Capcom has just announced that the total global sales of the latest survival-horror game have now surpassed 6 million copies.
This achievement makes Resident Evil Requiem the fastest-selling Resident Evil series to reach this number in the franchise's history.
The game itself was released on February 27, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Previously, Capcom had also reported that Resident Evil Requiem sales had already surpassed 5 million copies as of March 4, 2026, indicating that the increase to 6 million copies occurred in a short period after its launch.
This success also strengthens Resident Evil's position as one of Capcom's biggest franchises. In its latest announcement, Capcom mentioned that the total sales of the entire Resident Evil series have exceeded 183 million units as of December 31, 2025. With this accomplishment, Resident Evil Requiem further solidifies its status as one of the most successful releases in the series.
