Electronic Arts (EA) officially announced the arrival of Plants vs. Zombies Replanted, a remastered version of the legendary tower-defense game, in the latest Nintendo Direct presentation.

The game will launch on October 23, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, as well as other platforms such as PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders are now open starting today at around $20.
Plants vs. Zombies Replanted brings back the classic experience loved by millions of players since its debut on PC in 2009. In this latest version, the game features high-resolution visuals and new features including a local co-op mode, allowing two players to work together to face zombie attacks directly.
EA describes Replanted as a blend of the “charm, chaos, and sun-powered defense strategy” that has become the hallmark of the series. Players will continue to plant iconic plants like Peashooter, Sunflower, and Cob Cannon on the home lawn grid to hold back waves of zombies coming from the right side of the screen. Iconic characters like Crazy Dave will also return, complete with strength-boosting merchandise to defend your home from undead attacks.
With a combination of nostalgia and updated content, Plants vs. Zombies Replanted promises a fun experience for both longtime players and newcomers. For fans of lighthearted strategy full of humor and creativity, October will be a highly anticipated time. Don’t miss the chance to pre-order and return to the lawn filled with battles between plants and zombies!
