PUBG: BLINDSPOT New Top-Down Shooter Drops Free Early Access on February 5th
PUBG STUDIOS has locked in February 5, 2026, as the early access launch date for PUBG: BLINDSPOT, a new PC (Steam) shooter. The early access version will be free to play.
Developed by the same team behind PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, this fresh title is a tactical top-down shooter where 5v5 teams duke it out. Players will be right at home with familiar WASD movement and mouse-aiming controls.
While it’s a top-down perspective, you won’t have eyes on the entire map—blind spots are guaranteed. That’s where the game’s killer feature comes in: Vision Sharing. If one teammate spots an enemy in a hidden area, the whole squad gets the visual. Coordination and smart positioning are key to staying alive.
Game modes include Team Deathmatch and Standard Match, where teams fight to plant/defuse a “Decryptor” device (think Call of Duty’s Bomb Mode—wipe the enemy team, and you win).
In Standard Match, attackers and defenders clash in a best-of-five rounds battle. Attackers breach buildings to plant the device, while defenders hunker down, reinforce walls with barricades, and blast holes with impact grenades to create kill zones.
Each class comes with unique guns (assault rifles, SMGs, shotguns, snipers, DMRs) and gadgets—drone scouts, grenade launchers, sticky bombs—making every match a strategic firefight.
Early access kicks off with 5v5 PvP, character unlocks, and a feedback-driven roadmap. No end date yet, but expect updates to boost replayability before the full launch.
