Celebrate 25 Years, USJ Presents a Series of Original Mario and Pikachu Merchandise
Universal Studios Japan (USJ, located in Konohana District, Osaka City) announced on the 10th a lineup of limited edition merchandise to commemorate its 25th anniversary on March 31. Various original items inviting visitors to celebrate this moment together with Mario and Pikachu will soon be available.
From March 4 to March 30, 2027, USJ will offer a year full of special experiences under the theme “Discover U!!!”
This new product lineup includes the “Shoulder Strap Mascot” so Pikachu can be your travel companion anytime and anywhere; “T-shirts” with a design that looks like a group of Pikachu jumping out of a parade, instantly evoking a festive atmosphere; and “Doll Hats” with upright ears that can wiggle, which will heighten your excitement when worn because they capture the adorable energy of cheerful Pikachu.
In addition, from “Super Nintendo World,” available products include “T-shirts” with a dynamic design focused on speed featuring Mario racing at full speed; a fun-themed “Bucket Hat” with a checkered flag design accented with items like the Super Star; and “Choco Crunch” with special packaging depicting the intense “Mario vs. Bowser” battle that will spark enthusiasm from the moment you hold it.
Furthermore, to express the 25th anniversary theme “Discover U!!!”—which carries a double meaning of discovering the “unknown side of yourself” unexpectedly (“Discover You”) and rediscovering the power of entertainment by reflecting on the 25-year journey of this theme park (“Discover USJ”)—various new items will also be introduced. These include “dolls” and “mascot keychains” from Minions (Illumination Entertainment), Sesame Street, Peanuts, and Hello Kitty, all wearing very colorful attributes and costumes.
