Shift Up plans to release Stellar Blade on PC in 2025, and they are also considering the possibility of making a sequel.
According to a report by VGC, 300 Shift Up employees involved in the Stellar Blade project received a PS5 Pro as a gift at the year-end party. This gift serves as a New Year bonus, along with cash for each developer.
Shift Up Studio was founded by illustrator Kim Hyung-Tae and is managed together with his wife, Chae Ji-Yun (KKUEM). They also receive support from Tencent as shareholders.
They went public on the stock market and this became the largest stock opening in South Korea for a video game company.
Another game from Shift Up, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, is also one of their main sources of income, generating tens of millions of USD every month.
Stellar Blade and NIKKE are also planned to collaborate, with details to be announced later.
