Silent Hill F is an independent game and not part of the original Silent Hill series

Through the social media account X, Konami gave info that Silent Hill F is actually a standalone game and not part of the main Silent Hill story. The F series is "a new game separate from the original series."

There is no further info yet, but previously Konami did say that Silent Hill F was made to introduce the world of Silent Hill to new players who have never played the games before.

Telling the story of a teenage girl named Shimizu Hinkao, Silent Hill F offers a scary and frightening atmosphere in a small Japanese town in the 1960s, with the game taking place in the fictional Japanese town of Ebisuoka; inspired by Kanayama, Gero, in Gifu Prefecture.
