This psychological horror game will arrive on September 25, 2025, for the PlayStation 5 platform. The announcement was made directly through the PlayStation State of Play event held in early June 2025, also showcasing the highly anticipated first gameplay by fans of the Silent Hill franchise.

Story Background
Silent Hill f takes players to 1960s Japan, specifically the fictional town of Ebisugaoka, inspired by Kanayama in Gifu Prefecture. The story follows Shimizu Hinako, a high school student trapped in a town shrouded in thick fog and haunted by terrifying creatures. The story is written by Ryukishi07, the famous visual novel author such as Higurashi When They Cry, known for an emotional and psychological narrative approach.
Gameplay and Key Features
Unlike previous entries which focused more on exploration and atmosphere, Silent Hill f emphasizes action elements with a close combat system. Hinako can use various weapons, such as pipes and spears, to survive against enemies inspired by Japanese mythology and culture.
