Singapore Will Begin Screening The Colors Within on December 5
A newly uploaded trailer for The Colors Within on the Encore Films YouTube channel announces that the anime film is set to premiere in Singapore on December 5, GMT+8.
The Colors Within, the newest film by director Naoko Yamada (known for A Silent Voice, Liz and the Blue Bird, and The Heike Story), had its premiere in Japan on August 30 JST, after postponing its initial fall 2023 release. The film was included in the feature film selection for Annecy 2024 and won the Animation Golden Goblet Award at the Shanghai International Film Festival 2024.
Encore Films describes the story as:
Totsuko is a high school student with the ability to see the ‘colors’ of others. Colors of bliss, excitement, and serenity, plus a color she treasures as her favourite. Kimi, a classmate at her school, gives off the most beautiful color of all. Although she doesn’t play an instrument, Totsuko forms a band with Kimi and Rui, a quiet music enthusiast they meet at a used bookstore in a far corner of town. As they practice at an old church on a remote island, music brings them together, forming friendships and stirring affections. Will they discover their true ‘colors’?
