ODEX Will Bring the Love Live! Nijigasaki Film to Singapore and Indonesia
ODEX's social media pages in Singapore and Indonesia have announced the upcoming theatrical release of the film Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club The Movie – Finale – Chapter 1 in those countries.
This anime film is the first in a trilogy that will conclude the Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club anime series. The film premiered in Japan on September 6 JST, and Chapter 2 is scheduled to be released in winter 2025.
Chapter 1 follows Ayumu, Kasumi, Shizuku, Kanata, Ema, and Lanzhu as they head to Okinawa after the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club receives an invitation to Idol GPX (Grand Prix). The Idol GPX participants compete as individuals, and Ayumu feels conflicting emotions about battling against her friends.
Before this film trilogy, there were two seasons of the TV anime that aired in 2020 and 2022, a sequel OVA released in 2023, and a two-season short anime adaptation of the Nijiyon spin-off. Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club is one of the titles in the Love Live! multimedia franchise.
